Before sending a report
Include the app version, device model, system version, steps to reproduce the issue and screenshots with personal information hidden. For astronomy or calendar differences, include the selected date, observing location, time zone and relevant settings. Do not send passwords, verification codes, payment details or unnecessary personal information.

Which devices are supported?
iPhone, iPad and Mac are supported with iOS, iPadOS or macOS 26 or later.
How do I change the language?
Open Settings & About in the app and choose 简体中文, English or System Default. The change applies immediately.
Do I need internet, an account or a subscription?
Calculations, lessons and diagrams in the current version work offline. There is no registration, sign-in, in-app purchase or subscription. Opening third-party references or sending support email requires internet access.
Does the app access my device location?
No. Choose an observing location from the built-in list or enter a place and coordinates yourself. Huaguangxian does not request device location permission.
Why might times or sky positions differ from another source?
First check the date, observing location, time zone and page notes. Seasons and calendar astronomy use Beijing time (UTC+8). Calendar conventions, astronomical models and historical traditions can differ. Body sizes and distances may use adjusted visual scales.
How are traditional hours and quarters divided?
A traditional double-hour lasts two hours. Huaguangxian divides it into eight 15-minute quarters and shows the stem–branch hour and quarter number. This differs from historical hundred-ke systems. The Zi double-hour spans 23:00 to 01:00; see each page for day-boundary conventions.
How do I delete reading data?
Choose Clear Reading Data in Settings & About and confirm to remove local bookmarks, completion history, reading positions and font-size preferences. Bundled lessons remain available.
